FITTING AND FLOCKING
Customer understands saddle flocking and the horse’s confirmation can change quickly and additional adjustments may be required. The customer will be responsible for additional appointment fees should the fit need adjusted. Pads and shims may be necessary especially in the case of a remedial fit. This will be discussed at the time of fitting. The horse’s clinical history should be disclosed, as some conditions (such as lameness) can affect saddle fit. It is the client’s responsibility to maintain their saddle and schedule regular saddle fitting appointments when necessary. This includes but is not limited to, when a horse changes workload, environment, diet, experiences any lameness or suffers any illness. Many factors can affect the fit of the saddle so regular monitoring of the horse’s weight, soundness and condition is essential for optimum, long-term fit.
NEW SADDLE ORDERS
A 50% nonrefundable deposit is required upfront for all made to measure or custom saddles. The balance of the saddle is due on delivery. Due to the handmade nature of each saddle, there may be slight variations in each finished piece (e.g. grain of leather) and we reserve the right to make slight alterations which may be required and deemed necessary during manufacture. We recommend a new saddle is checked after approximately 6 weeks, as the wool will settle to the horse’s shape. Appointment fees may apply.
* Current expected delivery times vary *
*Fitters do not get updates on production process, please refrain from asking if the fitter has had any updates on delivery*
* It is normal practice to recheck your saddle fit in 6-12 weeks and your responsibility to arrange this. If you have any concerns in the meantime, please contact your saddle fitter immediately. Charges do apply
* Please remember that the time of year, work program, or change of barn can in some circumstances have an effect on saddle fit. It is good management to monitor your own fit at regular intervals.
* We will continue to service your saddle on regular intervals. It is your responsibility to arrange this and charges will be applied. If you have any concerns over the fit, please do contact us as professionals in the first instance.
SADDLE RETURN POLICY
Should buyer not be happy with the saddle, it can be returned at buyers’ expense within the 14 days to the saddle fitter for a refund less 50%. The appointment, mileage, customs and shipping is non-refundable. Saddle must be returned in new condition, clean and free of damage. A $75 cleaning fee will be applied should the saddle or cover need cleaning. Damages will be deducted accordingly. After the 14 days a refund will not be offered. Any aesthetically custom-made saddles (not fit related) all sales final. Ideally if within these 14 days it becomes apparent that the fit is not suitable, we will endeavor to resolve this and potentially offer an alternative saddle or the option of a new build. After 14 days and if a suitable replacement saddle cannot be sourced a buy back discount applies.
After this time any custom saddles may only be taken in on an exchange or consignment basis at the fitters discretion. We are unable to assist or continue to assist with the above saddle return policy where the complainant has taken their concerns to social media ie Facebook, Twitter etc. to post comments, photos or videos.
